Joseph's Bakery, established by Joseph Boghos, has been producing authentic flatbread since 1972 in Lowell, Massachusetts. The demand for our fresh and delicious pita bread led to our growth across New England and beyond. Today, the business is majority women-owned and operated by the third generation of the Boghos family.

In 1952, Joseph Boghos immigrated from Damascus, Syria, to Boston, where he missed the flavors of his homeland. He recreated his favorite dishes in his kitchen, including an authentic pita bread recipe passed down through generations.

Joseph's Bakery offers a variety of flatbreads, with pita bread being the most well-known. In addition to pita, we also produce lavash and wraps.
